During the last 11 years that I’ve been doing ministry in the FCA I have heard people trying to clarify what the FCA is or what the FCA does. I have heard people lightheartedly joke that “it’s our independence that keeps us together” and that “we don’t know who we are or where we’re going.” The truth is that the FCA has known who we are and where we’re going, but we’ve all used different words to describe it at different times. We also know that there’s more than independence that holds us together. In fact, historically, the FCA has been about connecting in relationships, ministry, leadership, and missions, which is really a level of interdependence like a family. So, over the last year the Fellowship Press has been working with representatives in Canada and the USA to help us be able to communicate who we are in a clear and simple way. We have looked to the history of the FCA and have also listened to what ministers in the fellowship feel God is leading us to in the future. We really are a family of ministers and ministries connecting to across generations, languages, and cultures to advance God’s Kingdom, by the power of the Holy Spirit, through the local church. And we want to be able to communicate that sense of who we are and what we’re called to with an image. Although there was a whole team who provided input and direction into this process, and a brilliant graphic designer who did the work, I had the privilege of presenting this logo at the annual meetings for the USA and Canada this past May and now I would like to share it with you!
The main ideas behind this image are interdependence, connection, and forward movement. I am so excited to see what God has in store for the ministers and ministries of the FCA, here in North America and around the world as we continue connecting to advance God’s Kingdom!
