My Kind of Meeting: The Goodness of God

My Kind of Meeting: The Goodness of God

I have been on a journey with God the last few years learning a lot about His goodness.  I am finding out His goodness is much better than I ever imagined. In Psalm 21:3 David says, “For You meet him with the blessings of goodness; You set a crown of pure gold upon his head.”  David was writing what God had done for him.  The Lord spoke to me through this verse and said He wanted to meet me with the blessings of His goodness every morning.  Now that’s my kind of meeting!
Most meetings we have nowadays are boring and tedious.  But I have found that God is meeting me with the blessings of His goodness each day.  In a world full of bad news God brings us His good news.  He only has good gifts, good news, good things and goodness He wants to share with all.  The more I look for His goodness each day the more I see it.  I need to see the goodness of God, to receive the goodness of God and then be able to release the goodness of God.
I wonder; have we allowed CNN, MSNBC, ABC and other news to effect our hearts and minds too much in a negative way?  I want the good news of God’s word to saturate my mind and my heart to be full of the goodness of God.  His goodness will never end!  I am turning off the TV more and tuning in to God’s goodness channel.
You better watch out.  If you feel something sneaking up on you…it might be the goodness of God!  Look over your shoulder it is following you.  Psalm 23:6 states, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house if the LORD forever.”
How have you been seeing God’s goodness in your life lately?
If you would like to join me on the goodness journey hop on board God’s goodness bus!  He will meet you on the bus or meet you in your home.
