Senior Pastor
The primary function of the Senior Pastor is to provide vision for Full Gospel Church, as well as
perform normal and common ministerial duties.
Qualifications:
Born-again Christian who feels a call by God into ministry and operates in the gifts of the Spirit
Love for families and individuals of all ages
Strong organizational and leadership skills
Ability to build and lead volunteer teams
Ability to commit to a level of confidentiality for sensitive situations
Minimum 4-year degree and/or equivalent ministry experience preferred
General Pastoral Responsibilities:
The Senior Pastor will have the primary responsibility for bible-based preaching at FGC and
will also arrange the preaching schedule with other appropriate individuals.
Through personal participation, regular bible reading, daily prayer, and regular communication,
the Senior Pastor will develop and maintain the prayer life and ministry of the congregation.
Work with the worship leaders in planning and leading the worship services.
Coordinate and participate in visitation of shut-ins (including providing communion if they
desire), hospital patients, regular attendees with “known” needs, and regular attendees without
“known” needs.
Oversee the church’s ministries and serve as a catalyst for lay involvement.
Meet with the Elder Board, Trustee Board, various committees, and staff regularly;
choose, oversee, and provide direction to support staff, as well as help facilitate the flow of and
coordination of activities both inside and outside the church.
Help individuals in their spiritual growth and development of ministry gifts.
Coordinate and provide spiritual guidance including pre-marital, marital, and personal
counseling.
Maintain involvement with the FCA (Fellowship of Christian Assemblies) by attending
fellowship meetings and participating in other fellowship functions. Occasionally, preach at
fellowship churches at their request.
Ensure active involvement with Sand Hill Lake Bible.
The Senior Pastor is primarily responsible to the Elder Board and shall serve as Senior Elder
by his office.
Must believe and uphold the Full Gospel Church’s and the FCA’s statement of faith.

Full Gospel Church is a non-denominational church with a Pentecostal heritage. We belong to the Fellowship of Christian Assemblies, a group of like-minded churches united in mission, belief, and relationship. Full Gospel Church has been on an upward trend for the last 7 years. The average attendance on a Sunday is 76. Church size has nearly doubled in attendance and operating budget in that time. There is a thriving kids’ ministry and a growing youth ministry. It is not uncommon to have 40-50 kids and youth on a Wednesday night. There are many young families, some just retired, and a few sacred saints. It is a great mix of ages.
The exterior of the church was recently done as well as the platform in the sanctuary. The congregation holds fast to the Word of God, the leading of the Holy Spirit, and invests heavily in the young people of the church. The church is healthy and ready to grow even more.
