Tim Delina of Brooklyn Tabernacle shared a powerful word last night about the power of obeying when God says “no.” Throughout the Bible God says “no” to leaders like Paul, Joseph, and Jesus. When Paul wanted to go to Asia God said “no” to him because He had a bigger plan; God wanted to take the Gospel to Europe. Before Jesus went to the cross the Father said “no” to the cup of suffering passing from Him. God is a Father and Fathers say “no.” When God says “no” it’s not rejection but protection! The enemy will always say “yes” but only a Father will say “no.” A bad season plus an open door doesn’t mean you’re supposed to leave! You need to listen for God’s “yes” and “no” and only move when He says “go!”
Who do you have in your life that can say “no” to you or your ideas? Who have you given permission to say “no” to you?
