Update – Pastor George Mackenzie
Published on:

Dear Friends of Pastor George and Mary Mackenzie of the FCA,

With deep appreciation we thank you for the continuing prayer and support we have received as a family for George and Mary. We have all felt uplifted in the abiding presence of the Lord during this difficult time.

Pastor George remains in critical care and has undergone two extensive surgeries to stabilize and repair his most threatening injuries. We remain hopeful and peaceful as we witness God do what only he can do.

Over the past weeks I am sure we have all reflected on the many ways God has used His servant George in our lives. His passionate love for Jesus has inspired us, with compassion and mercy he has ministered to us, from a generous spirit he has given to us all, and we thank God for him. Together we believe that God will raise him up once again to “… proclaim what the Lord has done” Psalm 118:17

We encourage you now, together with us, to pour out in prayer what was poured into you in love from Pastor George and Mary.

At the doctor’s request and the family’s agreement, please no visitors to the hospital at this time. The family will be sure to notify when visitations are welcome. We are sure that as Pastor George’s condition improves visitors will be an important part of his recovery, but at this time the most loving thing we can do for him is allow him to rest.

In lieu of visits we would be happy to read to him any letters of encouragement from you.
As we continue to pray we take inspiration from the psalmist, “I lift my eyes up to the mountains, where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, maker of heaven and earth.” Psalm 121

We trust our God for He alone is sovereign!

Our sincere blessings and thanks to you all,

The Mackenzie Family
